DESIGN PLACEMENT GUIDE

When customizing your aisle runner, consider these popular artwork placements. The key is to envision which photo is most important to capture and position it where the photographer can best seize the moment.

TIP: When visiting your venue: bring along some newspaper. Lay it on the ground in your chosen spot, step back, and photograph the altar keeping your artwork in frame. This will give you insight as to the best place for your design.

NEAR THE TOP
(ceremony end)

For ceremony photos featuring the couple along with their custom design, consider positioning the design closer to the top (ceremony end).

While some of our photos give the impression that the artwork is placed at the back of the room, in actuality it is placed closer to the top (ceremony end), with the photographer standing directly behind it.

As photographers spend the majority of the time closer to the ceremony end capturing the exchange of vows, this spot is a customer favorite.

Typically, such photos are taken from a distance of 16-25 feet from the top.

These two photos capture the same event. The first, taken directly behind the artwork, captures the couple & artwork in more detail. The second, taken from the end, offers a broader view. As the aisle is long, placing the artwork at the end of the aisle would have resulted in the artwork being in detail and the couple appearing smaller in the distance.

AT THE BOTTOM
(where you first step)

To showcase the overall ceremony space, then bottom placement is the ideal spot.

For longer runners, capturing the vows with the design a lil harder (as the distance between them is greater) but this placement is a great spot for capturing the moment you take your first step down the aisle (or as you leave as a married couple). It is also a prime location for your guests to see it.

If choosing this placement, be sure there is space for the photographer to stand behind the artwork.

TIP: If you have a specific photo you’d like to replicate, we suggest sharing it with your photographer before the wedding day.
