It’s Shark Tank Time AGAIN!

Our appearance on the TV show Shark Tank last year is the gift that just keeps on giving. We are so excited to announce that the episode featuring The Original Runner Company will be airing again this Friday night April 20, 2012 (8pm est. ABC TV). The experience of being on the show has been amazing not only for the business’ bottom line but also for the incredible support we have received from fans of the show. After TV Guide magazine described our company Founder & CEO Julie Goldman as a “feisty and combative wedding business entrepreneur”, we really weren’t sure how the audience would receive the show. Whew . . . we were so relieved when we received hundreds of emails in support of Julie and her moxie (that’s Yiddish for guts to stand up to the Sharks). It was a very stressful situation filming the show with the Sharks but in the end Julie stood her ground and The Original Runner Company is better for it.

So tune in Friday for another dose of Julie’s moxie. Julie will be Tweeting during the show from @WeddingRunners and will also be posting on our Facebook page. Hope to talk with you then!

Clearly you can’t believe everything you read in a tabloid magazine . . .

Thank you to In Touch magazine for featuring our Founder & CEO Julie Goldman in the current issue highlighting several entrepreneurs from the TV show Shark Tank. Although, Julie did not “get rich” from Shark Tank, she does say it was an incredible opportunity that not only benefited The Original Runner Company but was also a wonderful growth experience for her personally. This has truly been a busy year for The Original Runner Company. We want to thank everyone that has supported us in the last year and those that continue to buy our unique aisle runners. With events like the TV show Shark Tank and Kim Kardashian’s wedding, it has truly been a crazy year. Business is booming and we are selling more aisle runners than ever and we have you to thank for our success. As we continue to grow our brand, we are looking forward to introducing new products and patterns in the New Year.

Say HELLO! to Kim Kardashian’s Aisle Runner in the UK

Last week we were in Las Vegas for a trade show and stopped into the newstand at the MGM Grand hotel. There we saw the latest copy of HELLO! magazine from the UK with a huge picture of Kim Kardashian’s wedding on the cover. Once we opened the magazine, we were just blolwn away by the gorgeus spread that featured three awesome pictures of the aisle runner we created for the event. Such a relief since the 196 ft. runner was left out of People magazine completely. Don’t forget to tune in on October 9th & 10th for the all of the details of this glamorous wedding on the E! channel.

We were just wowed this week when we saw the full-page feature in Inside Weddings magazine on our new Damask pattern non-slip aisle runners. We just love how clean and modern this setting looks in the magazine with those cool black chairs. So many clients ask us where to start when designing our custom aisle runners. One of favorite ideas is to take inspiration from the event invitation. Since this usually depicts the client’s style, color choice and often theme for the entire event- it is a great place to start. Below we are featuring a recent project that was inspired by this gorgeous custom invitation and it’s unique paisley-vine design. Huge credit goes to our artist Alison for the amazing craftsmanship in all of the vines details. This runner is truly one-of-a-kind and coordinates to the wedding perfectly!
